- When you click to register you will be sent a password. You will be able to view the list of plates available without paying anything, but will not be able to download plates until payment has been made. If you try to download and have no credit with gCAP Limited you will be given the option of
paying by credit/debit card or by cheque. If you choose to
pay by credit/debit card you will be redirected
to paypal.co.uk, who handle secure such transactions
for gCAP
Ltd. Shortly afterwards, you will be sent an
email confirming that payment has been received. Paypal act as
agents
for gCAP and any issues you have with processing of payment should be
forwarded to help@gcap.co.uk.
- If you order more than one licence, each must be assigned
to a name, be it an
individual, an aircraft or a room (eg 'Ops') but the name should be
distinctive and cannot be a replica of one which is already held. When
your account has been activated you will be required to supply names
for the licences, the required number of which will be agreed by
negotiation.
- Full licences are valid for the
period stated on the licence. Licences may be used by the licence holder
only. They are not
sub-licensable or assignable, and may be rescinded if these terms and
conditions are broken.
- At any one time, you may use one copy per licence of any
plate to which you are permitted access ('click' licence
holders may not have access to foreign airfields). gCAP Ltd reserves the
right to make random
inspections to ensure that all copies used are properly licensed.
Entities abusing these terms and conditions or who deny inspection
requests for reasons not considered reasonable by gCAP Ltd may have
their licence(s) withdrawn.
- gCAP currently covers most of the UK (London excepted) and some airfields in Northern France. The database is expanding all the time but no guarantee is made that any particular
plates are available. The current list of plates can be seen by logging on, which requires registration, but there is no commitment to buy a licence simply by registering.
- You may make as many downloads as you like while your
licence is valid.

in place, a copy of which, including copies of recent audits, is
available for examination for a nominal fee.
- The gCAP service includes notification of updates provided you
have a full, valid licence; users with 'click' licences do not get update information. If you have a full licence you will be sent emails advising of
changes when they occur but this system must not be relied upon (since
emails can be go astray, be delayed, deleted or not actioned) and therefore it is
your responsibility to check the website for updates and to download
the latest versions of plates before each flight. The email update
service is for convenience only and does not abrogate your
responsibility to check for updates via this site. gCAP Ltd updates the
plates whenever a change is published in the AIP (not normally including
NOTAMS); such updates are actioned on the night before the notified date of the AIRAC amendment.
- The cost of a full licence is £54, and the
'click' option costs 54p per download. (Please note that a
download will be logged whenever you view a plate, whether you print
it, save it or just look at it, since there is no way for us to
distinguish between these three). If paying by cheque, please note that your licence will not be activated until payment has been received.
These prices will remain fixed until 30 Jun 09.
- You may request a refund if gCAP doesn't meet your
expectations. In such a case, we reserve the right to make a £4
administration charge, plus 54p per plate already downloaded.
