- From 1 July 2012, TRIs wishing to revalidate their rating must either have done 50 hours of instruction on type within the previous 3 years (unachievable) or receive instructor refresher training, and for renewal of a TRI rating this instructor refresher training is mandatory. Similarly, TREs wishing to revalidate or renew their authorisation must complete an examiner refresher seminar. To this end, gCAP has joined forces with Starspeed and will be providing TRI training and TRE seminars from July onwards, so please contact us to find out more.
